How To Cook Curry Crabs?

This is my housemate and I first attempt in cooking crabs. Surprisingly the dish turned out to be good! Can't wait to have the next attempt because I secretly fell in love with eating crabs.

Recipe for Curry Crabs (Serves 2)

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes

  • 2 flower crabs
  • 1 stalk of lemongrass
  • 1 small packet of coconut milk
  • 1 onion
  • 1 packet of curry paste of your choice
  • 1 cup of water
1) Scrub the crabs with a brush if you have one or just scrub it with the scouring pad that you use to wash the dishes. (Sounds crazy... but mum kinda advise me to do so... )
2) Lift the shell crab lightly to detach it from the body and chop it into two.

3) Heat 2 tablespoon of oil.
4) Fry the onions and lemongrass till fragrant.
5) Add in the curry paste and fry till fragrant as well.
6) Add the water and coconut milk. Bring it to boil.
7) Stir in the crabs. Fry the crabs till cook.
8) Serve hot.

Give it a try!

Inspired Art

I have added a few pictures on my side bar. The pictures are all related to the places that I had been lucky enough to visit with my man. I know my skills aren't superbly keng and they might not necessary resembles the places we have visited. But heck, is cute okay!

The famous A-Famosa in Melaka. Wanted to draw the cannons but how the hell do you draw cannons??

Langkawi and beach go together. Not forgetting, the little crab... Yes, is a damn crab!!

Our little road trip to Great Ocean Road to view the 12 Apostles. There are no 12 apostles in my picture because in reality, you don't see all twelve on one stretch. Few of them are on the other side.

Oh oh... my favourite out of the four. Our latest vacation to Bangkok.

Tee hee... this is inspired by...

How can I forget this reclining buddha after the shocking experience of standing there for a whole 5 minutes for Bean to capture this shot for six times. Honestly, ALL six shots look exactly the SAME! Fine... the buddha head looks bigger in some of the pictures. =P

Well, that's about it for now. I am sure there will be more pictures for me to draw in the future.

Maybe... the Great Wall Of China in Beijing? what about the Eiffel Tower in Paris??? Hmmm... Taj Mahal in India??

Am I right, boyfriend? *hint*

P/S: This is inspired by my best friend.

How To Drink A Sukao?

While I was looking through my pictures folders, I came across this video that was meant to be posted up long time ago.

Just in case if you are wondering, Bean is starring in this video. =)

It was video-ed few months back when he was here in Melbourne for holiday. I brought him to Max Brenner to try out some hot chocolate. And of course I didn't bring him there to try some common hot chocolate that you drink from a normal cup.

'You taking video??? Cannot be too big file!'

Gee... you stir faster la! -_-

Egg Bombing

A few days ago, I boiled an egg and it was actually meant for dinner. But then my friend called and I had no choice but to chuck the boiled egg back into the fridge.

Today, I took the egg out from the fridge for lunch. I peeled the shell off and of course I wasn't planning to eat a hard boiled cold egg. I was so clever, I chucked the boiled egg into the microwave to reheat my egg.

Guess what...

The whole egg EXPLODED.

Damn. I thought I was smart.

The Amazing Race Asia

Do you get the adrenaline rush by watching Amazing Race? I do. I just finished watching the first episode of season 3 The Amazing Race Asia. Oh my god... I screamed at the laptop screen because the groups were picking tougher detours. Clenched my fists when groups were rushing to the pit stop. Seriously! Who ever does that man? Silly me.

The Amazing Race has been my all time favourite reality tv show. My high school friends and I have always dream to participate it. Now that The Amazing Race Asia recruits Malaysians as participants, I couldn't help it but to bring it up to Bean and asked him casually about participating.

Me: Baby!!! Let's join the Amazing Race!
Bean: Huh? We are gonna break up!

My first reaction was... WHAT??????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But in my heart, I couldn't agree more.

The fact that I am such an impatient person and he is such a patient person.
The fact that I flare up easily in nerve wrecking situation and he is as calm as how the tortoise moves.
The fact that he is the 'calm before the storm' and I am the 'storm' itself.

Oh well... I believe in opposite attracts.

P/S: New Year's Eve has planned out. Bean and I are spending the night watching Mammia Mia Musical at Istana Budaya. Weeee...
