Another cute conversation that I have came across with Bean...

Topic on density

Me: Baby... what is density?
Bean: Tak ingat lah...
Me: Density is mass over volume!!!

Me: Then what is pressure?
Bean: Pressure is STRESS la!
Me: Wahaahahahahaaha... I am so gonna blog about this tomorrow!
Bean: Whatttt??!!!

My boyfriend is probably feeling a lot of stress under his work pressure. Wahaahahaha...

Note: Pressure is force over area, mind you! =P

Temptation

Yooo... I honestly can't decide if I should buy this...

The white stuff is not on my face. The mirror is dirty! Dress from Portsman.

Reason I should buy:
1) It is very pretty.
2) It fits me well.
3) I do not have a black and white flowery dress.
4) I like it.

Reason I should not buy:
It costs $140!

Buy or don't buy??????????

Sigh... This is harder than choosing husband.

Sweet Tooth

Cupcakes are such hot stuffs right now, everybody is buying and eating one. My housemates and I tried not to lose out on this. So instead of buying it, we baked the cupcakes last Sunday. We had so much fun stirring the flour, beating the egg and scooping the mix into the paper case and every other surface around the paper case! Oh oh... and we found out that we all have a little art talent in us.

Decorating each of the baby cupcakes were so much fun. Not until we ate them. It was just so damn bloody freaking sweet!! All of us had to scrape off the icing and little decos on it off. All our effort in decorating the cupcakes kinda went into the rubbish bin!

Anyhow... baking is so fun! I can't wait to do it again next time!

Bang Cock Part 4: Chatuchak Weekend Market

I have heard everyone talked about it. I have heard everyone screamed about it. It is the shopping paradise that everyone loves. Bean said, 'My friend asked me if my girlfriend likes shopping and I said yes. My friend then said that you will loooooveeeeee this place!'

Chatuchak Weekend Market was honestly one of the biggest market I have been too. The other huge markets I had been to were wet markets to buy fish, chicken , pork and vegetables. And the market was flooded with people. People were crazily bargaining and shopping. There were people carrying HUUUGEEE bags. I actually wondered what did they buy so much. I wanted to be part of them too! Bean and I did walk the whole market. TWICE! We went back there again the very next day before we flew off. We probably spent more than five hours there! People told me if you like something just buy it because you would never find back the stall again. HA! HOW WRONG???? We had no problems at all! Probably Bean and I are very good with directions! *pats self*

You honestly could not believe the range of stuff they sell in Chatuchak. There were clothes, handbags, food, pets ranging from the tiniest hamster to the largest husky, pots and plants, more clothes, more hand bags, crafts (a great place to buy stuff to decorate your home!) and loads more of stuff. They even have courier services to send your stuff back to your country! Unbelievable!

Anyway... I seriously did not find the place as great as everyone has described. It wasn't even a shopping paradise for me. I wouldn't pay 300 baht for just a simple dress. Somehow I did not find worth paying. People thought I would go crazy with picking Barley back from the market which I totally did not. I pity the dogs more than liking them. I was actually annoyed with the hot weather. Bean was complaining the most and he kept wanting to walk under the shade. The sun was really not being very nice that day. So we ended up choosing a place and started drinking beer. In broad daylight. I know... weird. What weirder was I got tipsy. Only a bit! =P

Probably the only thing I enjoyed was the ice stick that only cost 20 cents. Ahhh... at least that helped to cool the heat down. Cola was my favourite.

Oh one of the funniest moment I had in Chatuchak was...

Bean: Baby!!! You want some squiggy???
Me: Boyfriend... is SCRUNCHIES!!!!! (and I couldn't stop laughing! =P)

At the end of the day, I only bought three t-shirts (Little Miss Sunshine for Bean's friend, Little Miss Contrary for my best friend and Little Miss Busy for myself!), two little make up bags (one to put my hand cream, tissue paper and lip balm to bring it to uni and the other one safely protecting my eye... haha... I mean iPod) and a dog bone for my dog (I am serious!).

Bean said, 'SHIT! My girlfriend doesn't like cheap stuff!'

Maybe he is right...oopsi...

P/S: This concludes my entries on our trip to Bangkok!

Wicked Wicked

Wednesday has officially become a housemates day where four of us do not cook and go out to enjoy a dinner. But sadly due to our tight budget, housemates day only occurs once a month on a Wednesday. Oh... I forgot to mention the most exciting part about housemates day is we get to dress up!

Last Wednesday was our very first official housemate day and we chose to watch the new musical in town, Wicked. Wicked is all about the untold story of the witches of Oz. In another words, it is the story of Wizard of Oz in the wizard point's of view. Wicked is so wicked because it cost me a bomb for the ticket! Despite me being upset over the expensive ticket, I was so excited about it I couldn't sit still in lectures.

I have never been to any theatres in Melbourne before. This in fact was my very first musical in Melbourne. I was awestruck when I stepped into Regent Theatre on Collin's St. The architecture of the theatre was really really beautiful. At least I felt it was la.

Before the show started, we treated ourselves with pre-musical drinks. I saw people holding green cocktail glasses with shining green light which really tempted me to buy as well. Plus the name they gave for the drink, Ozmopoliton made me couldn't resist in buying! Oh my god... the freaking lady asked for my ID when I ordered the Ozmopoliton! GAhhhh! Why can't people stop checking my ID? I am twen-teen two man! Not EIGHTEEEN! (Yes.. I am being delusional about me not being a teenager anymore.)

Back to the musical... I don't want to say much about it in case I spoil it for other people who intend to watch it. I personally felt that it was quite good but I wish there were more 'happy' songs instead of just slow draggy songs. The casts were fantastic and it would be awesome if there are more handsome looking casts. Their voices were exceptionally melodious. And I finally found out the pair of shoes Dorothy was wearing belong to who.

After two and a half hours of great musical, I caught this sign when I was on my way out...

Dammnit! So damn true! I had uni the next day...

Bang Cock Part 3: Grand Palace & Wat Pho

One of the main highlights of our Bangkok trip was to visit these twp 'claimed-to-be-top-attraction-spots' temple because I just wanted to take pictures and showed that I've been to Bangkok simply love temples.

I have read through some tips on trip advisor about not wearing shorts, not getting conned, not wearing open toes shoes and yadda yadda yadda. It was pretty informative until the day before I flew to Bangkok, I realised I did not bring back my sport shoes. My range of footwears were heels, heels and pretty much heels. In the end I thought a great idea of bringing socks. And HA! I did not even have a pair of socks back home and I had to borrow the pair of pink socks from my mum! Enough about the footwear because I did not even have to wear close toes shoes.

We took the cab directly to the Grand Palace but we were pretty lost on where the hell was the entrance. A tuk-tuk driver kept pointing to the right side and I saw a whole bunch of tourist walking to the same direction made me think that the entrance was really in that direction! Halfway while walking and doubting, a man wearing a 'Grand Palace' uniform came to attend the two blur headed tourists. He was totally sweet opening up umbrellas so that we do not have to stand under the sun and started explaining to us where was the entrance until...

Grand Palace Man: Oh... now the temple is not open for tourists until 2.00pm.
Bean and I: Huh?
Grand Palace Man: Because the King's sister died!

Stupid idiot tried to con us to some what standing buddha which was few hundred miles away. Idiot! Honestly, he looked freaking genuine but we were smart enough to escape from him! Again... idiot!

Anyhow, we managed to get rid of the con man and found our way to the Grand Palace. We had to rent sarong and pants because Bean was wearing shorts and I was actually wearing leggings. They did not state no leggings allowed also! They said no shorts only what! Arrghhh.. It was bloody hot to wear the sarong on top of my leggings adding to the hot weather in Bangkok! But thank god the sarong was not as ugly looking as I was expecting.

So what is so great about the Grand Palace? It was pretty facinating for the first 10 minutes I was there but the hot weather was really catching on to me. Plus the temples kinda looked the same. =P You judge it for yourself... pictures starting from here...

Some temple that I do not know the name of...

Close up on the details...

Bean and I

Some reconstructing to do...

The heat is making an unhappy me...

So did the heat made him unhappy too...

This place is hugeeeee and we walked the whole place! I am proud of my peserverance to walk in the heat!

Wat Pho was a painful 20 minutes walk from the Grand Palace. The painful thing was there were millions of idiots trying to show us the wrong direction when there was a sign clearly indicating that both of us were walking towards the right direction! I hope they do not believe in karma! Ish... Anyway... the main attraction in Wat Pho is the reclining Buddha.

This shot was taken 6 FREAKING TIMES! And Bean asked me if he should take up Photography as a hobby. What do you think my answer was after an experience of standing at the same spot for 5 minutes for the same freaking shot for six times??

You can donate a small sum of cash in turn of a handful of tokens that you can place in each of the 'bowl'. I think you can make a wish beforehand or something...

The whole view of the reclining Buddha.

Admission Fee
Grand Palace: 300baht
Wat Pho: 50baht

Opening Hours
8.30am till 3.30pm

Attire
No shorts/skirts/anything that shows off your beautiful legs. You can show them off in some other places.
You can rent their sarongs (for females) or pants (for males) at no cost. However, you are required to place a deposit which you can claim back at the end of your little tour.

**DO NOT TRUST ANYONE! They will tell you something like 'the temple is closed for some special function' and they will recommend you to visit some other temples instead that requires you to take tuk-tuk! Just try to figure your way out and you will be fine. The more tourists you see, the better chances you are in the right place.

RED

A bouquet of tulips.

With Thumbelina living in it. (that is not my thumb fyi. is my great housemate's, sing. he gets inspired easily with things you see. like flowers.)

An iPod.

With the sweetest message.

I never knew vacuuming could be so fun until today I made full use of my iPod. Train and tram rides were more enjoyable than last time. And I never knew walking to uni was such a short distance. The best thing is I could every now and then listen to Bean's favourite rock songs (though I don't enjoy all of them =P) to feel him closer to my heart.

Ha... I finally have an earphone to do my lectopia!

P/S: I really want to finish updating entries about my trip to Bangkok so that I could move on to something else but there are so freaking many assignments, it is not even funny.

Weekend Without Boyfriend

I received two missed calls from 'Witheld' which are definitely international calls. I automatically think it would either be Bean or my parents.

Hence, I sent a message to Bean,

'Did you call me baby?'

And this was what Bean's reply...

'I always call you baby! =)'

-_______- Gahhhhh... What I meant was if he called me just now! He even typed in the smiley emoticon!!! Gosh! My boyfriend is such a joker sometimes.

Now that he is off to Bali for the weekend, I miss him so damn much. Weekend seems quiet without him. Yes even though we are seperated million of miles apart, it doesn't make a difference if he is in KL or Bali bacause we are still seperated by a million of miles. BUT... in fact there is a very big difference. We can't be on the phone and spill our hearts out on how much we love each other. We are very much connected through our hearts you see. =)

Sigh... I wish is Tuesday right now.
