An entry of Randomness

One paper down! Wooohoooo... Now my mind is so exhausted I can't even think of a title for this entry. Neither I can think of what to write in this entry but I just feel like posting an entry. Ah... It shall be a post of randomness.

++++++

This afternoon I was at the train station waiting
for the train (DUh!) to arrive. Yup... I need to catch a tram from my house to the city then a train from the city to Caulfield to reach my exam venue. Why my university chooses such a far place? Don't ask me. Anyway, suddenly there was this old man walked passed me. My housemate looked at me and said, 'Why was that old man looking at your boobs and said "Beauty!"?' WTHHHHHHHH!!!! But I doubt he was doing that! Oh come on... he is an OLD MAN! But seriously... he probably was just looking at the ground! We so wanted to snap his picture down so that I can post it up my blog. Wahahahaahha... But due to the respect we have for that old man, we decided to give it a pass. I know we are nice people. =P

+++++++

'I am not a disease. I am having a disease' Discuss.

HUH????!!!! plus my eyes were popping out when I read the above sentence.
That was a question I had for my exam this afternoon. What was I suppose to write? I became the biggest crapper today. I just wrote down whatever I could think of. I wrote the definition of disease. One mark for that definition, Professor? *doe eyes*

I have a new baby girl!!!!! =) She is my baby gi

Do you know about this cup?

Sanitary Pad...

Tampon...

Cup...

CUP????

You must be wondering why is a cup falling under the same category as sanitary pad and tampon. I was once wondering too until I came across a website selling menstrual cup! Yes... you read it right! Is a cup to collect the period. OMG!!!! I never knew there is such invention on earth!

It works exactly same as the tampon which means you have to wear it internally. The only difference is it is reusable!

Hmmm... Is it comfy?

P/S: There will be less updates as I will be facing my end of semester examination. Wish me luck!

Tetris

Honestly, my life is pretty sad nowadays! Basically my everyday life now consists of wake up, eat, study, eat, study, nap, study, eat, talk on the phone with Bean, study and sleep. The whole FREAKING routine starts again the next day! Besides my housemate, I have not seen anyone else on earth for the past three days. OMG... You think is sad too huh? Look what exams can do to one person!

Another thing I do ocassionally when I feel so bored in staring at my lecture notes is playing online Tetris! The only exciting stuff I do everyday. Yes... I know! Is pretty sad again! Anyway... it is a good form for stress relieving! This is the best version of online tetris you can find. Others are pretty crap. Yes... I even did research on Tetris. Stop reminding me how sad my life is now pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Go play tetris here!

My highest level is 25.

What is yours?

Oh oh... check out this funny video too! Hehe... Is about Tetris too..

Keypads where??

In the midst of searching for new handphone models, another phone came across my eyes when I was walking my way to the asian groceries. The LG Prada phone. The name of the phone sounds so glamourous it made me want to find out more about it.

A few pictures were found through the net.

I saw this...

This...

And this...

Hmmm... Okay... There was one question running through my head. I asked Bean,
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
'This is a SLIDE phone yeah?'

Because I did not see the keypads! I therefore assumed it was a slide phone!

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!

Before Bean wanted to say anything, I interupted...

'OH NO NO NO!!! THIS IS A TOUCH SCREEN PHONE!'

Phew... Just in time to save my a** from embarassment!

I am blaming it on the exam!!

Go Away!!

Warning: Gruesome pictures ahead.

'How does smallpox differ from chickenpox?'

The above was one of the questions my lecturer would wa
nt us to know how to answer. Being so hardworking, I used my best friend, google.com once again to find out. And this was what I found...

.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.

This is how bad smallpox infection can get! It concentrates very much on the face, hands and legs! Smallpox is fatal! Apparently, smallpox is dead since 1978! Phew... Just hope that there will be no re-emerging of this disease!

I really got a shiver when I saw the pictures!

GO AWAY SMALLPOX!

Hepatitis

Exam is just a week away! I am not going to whine about it because Bean forbidden me to! How cruel is he???!! No lar... he promised he is going to give me a reward if I don't whine for the next three weeks! So... I am not going to!

Anyway... Pharmaceutical Microbiology is giving me a real hard time! I need to memorize all the scientific names of different viruses and bacterias! When I mean name-S... I literally mean plural! Not just one of two scientific names... but from the first page of the lecture notes till the very last page! Geez man... Can't they give some simpler names?

I was telling Bean the other day about the stuff I studied.

Me: Hepatitis A is caused by Picornarviridae virus
Bean: Huh??? Pi-co... WHAT?
Me: Picornarviridae
Bean: Okay... Picornarviridae
Me: Hepatitis B is caused by Hepadnaviridae.
Bean: Hmm.. okay...
Me: And Hepatitis C is caused by Flaviviridae.
Bean: Fla-vi-vi-ri-dae
Me: Yup! Hehe... I don't think you will remember this tomorrow!

I know... Poor fella have to endure this... Haha... Too bad... his girlfriend is in healthcare line!

The very next day Bean suddenly brought up the topic,

Bean: Baby...
Me: Yar?
Bean: Picornaviridae!
Me: (I myself totally forgot that I told him... )OMG! You remembered!!
Bean: Hepadnaviridae and Flaviviridae!

At that point I was seriously very very very impressed!

Bean has his way to melt my heart....

Miss Marple's Teahouse

"Miss Jane Marple is an elderly spinster who lives in the little English village of St. Mary Mead. She looks like an ordinary old lady, dressed neatly in tweed and is frequently seen knitting or pulling weeds in her garden. Miss Marple sometimes comes across as confused or "fluffy", but when it comes to solving mysteries, she has a sharp logical mind. In the detective story tradition, she often embarrasses the local "professional" police by solving mysteries that have them stumped."

When I wikipedia Miss Marple, the above was
what I read. Miss Marple is none other than a fictional character! Steewwpeet Miss Marple's Tea Room house put up so many pictures of her made me believe she is some real character in life!

During our journey back to Melbourne City from the tulip farm, we stopped by at the tea room for a short lunch break. I was awestruck before I even went into the teahouse!

So darn cute yeah the little cottage house/tea room? The interior itself is so cosy as though you have just entered a western home. Every piece of deco looks so antique. Every stretch of the walls are filled with pictures. Teapots are displayed all around the corne
r of the teahouse. The table is covered with flowery cloth. So sweet! Even the waitresses are dressed differently!

The clock barely even strucked twelve, the tea room was already packed with people! We were lucky to get a table right infront of us. Without wasting anytime, we read the menu as though we were studying hard for an exam. Just ordered only two dishes but enough to stuff us till death!

Miss Marple's Famous Fingers

Not her fingers lar okay... They are pieces of bread with toppings. We ordered the Fresh Chicken, Cheese and Asparagus Fingers. Not too fantastic in my opinion. I felt like it is something you can do it yourself at home. Just put the toppings on the bread and 'ting' in the toaster! I don't remember the price but I know is not cheap!

Devonshire Scones

There are two choices for the scones: plain scones or fruit scones. Being so greedy, we chose both! The scones come with delicious home made jam an
d lashing freshly whipped cream. Yummy yummy! Both the jam and whipped cream tasted sooooo good! The scones were still warmed when it served. The scones were as soft as fluffy pillows! Those scones were so darn filling I tell you! We could not finish it and ended up giving to my other friend who happened to be eating lunch there as well! Maybe cause the whole thing is carbo!

Teapot of Taylors

A traditional brewed 'Yorkshire Blend' cup of tea that claims to be the best cup of tea in England by the British Tea Council. Nahhhh... I reckon Lipton Tea Bag gives a better aroma! =P

Generally this place is worth for a visit. For a new fresh environment and just enjoy the coziness...

In the event of enjoying our cup of tea, my friends were trying hard to act as though they were very 'English'!

Which Spice has best breasts?

Published: 12 Oct 2007

MEL C is snacking her way to bigger breasts.

Liverpudlian Mel - the most flat-chested member of The Spice Girls - has started eating specialist Japanese F-Cup cookies in preparaton for the group's reunion tour.

The biscuits, with a calorific value of 68.7 each, contain trans-fats which are sent directly to the breast area, as well as 50mg of "breast-enhancing herb" Pueraria Mirifica.

Manufacturers claim women can expect to see their breasts increase by at least a cup-size if they eat two cookies a day.

Mel told Radio 1: "I'll be a guinea-pig for them, can you imagine if my boobs got bigger suddenly?

"That'd be so great!"

At least a cup size?? Wahlaueh...

Excuse me while I go munch on the cookies!

New phone for me too?

Handphone has become such a common gadget in life now even a kindergarden kid has one! What the hell? Why such a young kid needs a handphone for? Isn't the kid suppose to play masak-masak or catching at home? Bean told me, 'For their parents to find them?' HUH?? My eyes honestly popped out at the point he told me that! It is either parents are too busy to take care of the kids and the only way to locate them is by handphone or kids are plainly growing up fast. Too fast!

The first handphone I ONLY fully owned by myself was when I was 15 years old. That's very old age compared to the kids now! Right after I receieved my PMR results, my parents bought me the latest phone. I intended to buy the Nokia 8250 but I changed my mind when the sales person recommended me the Nokia 8310.

'Daddy!! You see... this one is so different from other phones! It has white lights! LOOK! GOT RADIO! Daddddyyyyyyyyy... buy this one okay??? Pleaseeeeeee.........'

Those were the exact words I used to persuad
e my daddy to buy the phone for me. Being such a pampered girl, my daddy fell for my cutesy look and the manja voice!

That was six years ago when I needed to man
ja my daddy. Daddy will resist saying 'yes' when the wife manja but never ever resist saying 'yes' when the daughter manja! =D

Past few weeks, Bean has been searching for a new handphone. He is complaining that his nipple... I mean his phone's nipple is spoilt. Okay... I have no idea why he is using such a term... but what he meant was the center button most of the o
ld Sony Ericsson handphones own. Being such a caring girlfriend, I helped him to look out for a few. I found the K770i. I love the colour and the sleek sexy design. Just hope he likes my pick too!

Actually before that I persuaded him to buy W880i! This handphone is so slim you can just slip it into your jeans without having a huge bulge! I want to own one myself replacing my stewwpeet ugly Nokia slide phone!

So there I was persuading yet insisting him to buy because I like it so much until at one point,

Bean: Baby... I am getting the phone. Shouldn't I choose something I like?
Me: Something I LIKE
is you like lar...
Bean: -_-

Hehe... So much for being such a caring girlfriend! =P I then continued, 'You buy the one you like for yourself then you buy the W880i for me!' Haha...

Six years ago, I manja my daddy.

Six years later, I manja my boyfriend.

So... new phone for me too, boyfriend? *doe eyes*

manja = cajole

A month from then... A month from now...

On this special day I dedicate this song to you, my special one...

HOME

Another summer day
Has come and gone away
In Paris and Rome
But I wanna go home
Mmmmmmmm

Maybe surrounded by
A million people I
Still feel all alone
I just wanna go home
Oh, I miss you, you know

And I've been keeping all the letters that I wrote to you
Each one a line or two
"I'm fine baby, how are you?"
Well I would send them but I know that it's just not enough
My words were cold and flat
And you deserve more than that

Another aeroplane
Another sunny place
I'm lucky I know
But I wanna go home
Mmmm, I've got to go home

Let me go home
I'm just too far from where you are
I wanna come home

And I feel just like I'm living someone else's life
It's like I just stepped outside
When everything was going right
And I know just why you could not
Come alone with me
'Cause this was not your dream
But you always believed in me

Another winter day has come
And gone away
In even Paris and Rome
And I wanna go home
Let me go home

And I'm surrounded by
A million people I
Still feel all alone
Oh, let me go home
Oh, I miss you, you know

Let me go home
I've had my run
Baby, I'm done
I gotta go home
Let me go home
It will all be alright
I'll be home tonight
I'm coming back home

****

A month from then I wasn't able to be in your arms.
A month from now I will be in your arms.

Because I am coming home...

Iku Yakitori

This is one of the bonding sessions I have with my housemate where only two of us go out for a nice dinner. When was the last time we did it? I honestly don't remember. Both of us have been really busy catching up with work and other stuff. I myself not too sure what we are so busy with... My housemate should *ahem* knows what she is so busy at *ahem* =P

Just yesterday we dropped by at this Japanese Restaurant near our house on Brunswick Street. We have always wanted to try out this restaurant but somehow w
e do not end up there. To my surprise, this restaurant looks quite good! I thought it would be some dodgy restaurant with a glamour name. As its name has suggested this restaurant is famous with yakitori (skewers). We just ordered a platter of yakitori for two.

The platter itself came with:-
2 beef skewers

2 pork ball skewers
2 chicken skewers
2 mushroom skewers
2 scallop skewers

2 bacon and asparagus skewers
2 eggplant skewers

The price for this platter is $32.00. Generally, it tasted okay. A bit too salty for my liking. I enjoyed the mushroom most. Okay... I am biased towards mushrooms coz I love them! So in love with it that I enjoyed eating it! =D Though the platter did not look a lot but both of us were stuffed by the time we leave the restaurant.

What I dislike about this restaurant is the table seating. It has the traditional Japanese style seating where you sit on the floor and your legs are under the table. Gosh... what kind of description am I giving? You know... under the table has a hole where you put your legs and then you plunge your ass on the floor which is supposedly a seat. Ah... I give up! I just want to tell you my legs were cramping at the end of the dinner session.

Great Ocean Road

When I was young, my family members were the one taking care of me. This time when they come over to Melbourne, I was the one who took care of them. Suddenly I felt how much I have grow up since then. I felt so dai kor lui.

Just last few days, my cousin wanted to go on a roadtrip. Due to this was a budget trip she wanted to drive. Okay... I am fine with driving until she told me she wanted to head to Great Ocean Road! WHAT!!!! The journey to Great Ocean Road is as long as it takes to reach Penang! Plus my housemate scared me with tiredness and tough route! I wanted to persuade my cousin not to go anymore but she insisted. I was then left with only two options: leave her alone and go by herself or I go with her. Of course I chose to go with her! It wasn't an option anyway!

We rented a Toyota Camry from Budget. Being such a petite girl, the size of the car gave me shocked when I first got on the car! I said to myself, 'OMG!! Why this car has such a huge ass??!!'. I did not want my cousin to find out I wasn't confident at all in driving such a big car, I act as though nothing has happened. I boost up my confidence and drove.

Hehe... I got lost in the city. I could not find the exit to West Gate Bridge. Instead, I drove all the way to god knows where! I remembered I passed Albert Street. I so wanted to back out and say, 'Can we not go?'. Okay... Nevermind. In the end I still found the exit and it was smooth journey till the end. No hiccups at all! Weeeeee!!!!

I took the fast route through Colac and then cut t
hrough to Camperdown, Cobden and Port Campbell. The information centre I stopped by during the journey very much helped me through the way. For me, I guess that's the best route option! The journey to Great Ocean Road itself took me maybe 5 hours? But it was all worth it when such beautiful sceneries lay in front of my eyes. They were so breathtaking!

Loch Arch Gorge

The Twelve Apostles

Fine!!! I admit! Those are not the pictures taken by me! I googled it! Because... the day I went, the weather was horrible! It rained and the wind was super strong! When I walked, I practically had to fight with the wind! And I could see nuts from the camera frame! The pictures I took were purely based on 'feel'! Just simply on the camera, put it in front of me and SNAP!

My version of...

Bay of Islands

Loch Arch Gorge

The Twelve Eleven Apostles

Eleven Apostles because sadly one has tumbled down. Bye bye rock!

Not bad right my version? Maybe because the scenerie
s are so beautiful, they still look so darn beautiful regardless on how you took it. I told you I wasn't lying when I said the weather was bad! You can actually see the midst of rain in my pictures!

At one point I seriously wished I had short hair!

Gahhh!! NONE of the pictures could see my face! I don't care! I am going back to Great Ocean Road on one fine sunny day to snap pictures again! *cough*Bean*cough*

I spent another 5 hours driving back to the city. It was generally fun driving but once I got off from the driver seat, I could feel the tiredness from all around the corner of my body. Me and driving for 10 hours was a great achievement for me. It may sound kembang but I am seriously proud of myself! *smile* Driving there is a great option as you can really save up a lot. The car that was rented only cost $50. If you actually join the tour, each person cost about $135. However, you must prepare yourself with long journey driving. It is so darn freaking tiring! No joke.

Lesson learnt for the day: LOOK AT THE WEATHER FORECAST BEFORE YOU HEAD TO GREAT OCEAN ROAD. Freaking wind and rain spoilt the day! Spoilt the beautiful sceneries!

P/S: No no no... Bean, I'm not having cough! Don't ask me take ubat batuk cap Ibu dan Anak.

dai kor lui = grown up
kembang = boastful

Kill Me Please!!

Past few days have been really tiring. Few of my family members came down from Malaysia for a short holiday. The sad part is they are leaving tomorrow! I can't believe I am having the heavy-hearted feeling. The great part is I finally can settle myself down to some studying! Exam is just around the corner which means I am going to be able to see Bean soon enough! *big grin*

Since Melbourne is famous for the Hong Ko
ng style dim sum, I suggested bringing my family members to have a yum cha session this morning. My uncle was nibbling loads of food before we left. Out of curiosity, I asked him, "Why are you eating so much? We going yum cha soon!". He just kept quiet. Later I found out he thought the "yum cha" I meant was plain drinking tea session! It really gave me a little chuckle. My uncle is so cute sometimes.

My little aunt wanted to buy some nougat back so that she can share it with her colleagues in the factory. You know those adult thingy... buying souvenirs and distributes to the whole world. We passed by this shop in Chinatown, thus ushering her into the shop. When she was paying money, suddenly I saw this beautiful lambskin that I alway
s wanted to buy one but the price is a bit pricy that turns my mood off. I stood there rubbing rubbing the white soft lambskin for quite some time. I thought I just ask the sales promoter for the price so that I will get turned off with the expensive price.

Promoter: Oh... we are having a promotional price!
Me: (aiyar... sure still damn expensive)
Promoter: The original price is $68.
Me: (wahh... not buying)
Promoter: Now we are selling it for $38.
Me: (CRAP! $38 ONLY FOR SUCH A HUGE LAMBSKIN?)

Okay... I calmed myself down thinking over the price and other non-related reasons like what are you going to do with it and yadda yadda yadda). At that point when I decided not to buy it (my hands were still rubbing the soft lamb fur...),

Aunt #1: You like it then buy lar...
Aunt #2: Aiyar... buy lar!!!
Cousin: Is so cheap! And the fur is really soft
and nice...

My family members were hopeless I tell you! I thought the adults were going to give me advices like 'so expensive, waste of money, don't buy lar!' Instead, they encouraged me to buy! I bought it lar in the end! $%#$%%@@&%!

But as soon as I got up the tram... PIAK! Realit
y hit me! Why did I buy it? Now I regret... Very regret... Super regret... Damn regret!

BAhhhhhhhhh....... Kill me!!!! Kill me PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

As usual, I called Bean and whined about it! I said the exact above line. He being so sweet... hehe... said...
.
.
.
.

.
.
.
.
.
.
'Don't worry bout it baby. I won't kill ya!'

Ok lar... not very sweet. But I find it sweet enough lar...

:D Me still having VERY big grin.

Pie In The Sky

If you are not going to a far place, 8.30am to start a road trip in Melbourne is a bit too early! With my *ahem* great *ahem* driving skills, we reached Dandenong before the clock even struck ten! We could not head to the tulip farm as it only opens at 11.00am. We ended up parking our car at a bus stop to decide where should we head to. My friend was so awestruck with the scenery outside, he was more excited to get down the car to snap some pictures rather than deciding.

Hmmm... a piece of green land and a little hut.

In the end we decided to grab a few bites. Being a newbie at Dandenong, I had no idea which restaurant I was supposed to pop by! I was lucky my two road trip kakis had been to Dandenong before and hence recommended this great place to eat. Honestly, I wasn't too keen on visiting this place as I do not fancy eating pie. But what made me agreed to go was the name of the restaurant. Pie In The Sky.

When we reached the restaurant, the clock just hit t
en. Thank god the restaurant has opened! If not I had no idea where we should go. Probably sit in the car till the restaurant opens? I bet we were the first customers for the day. Ah... is not a norm for restaurants in Melbourne to actually open before ten!

This place offers a large variety of pies. From beef pies to chicken pies. From western style pies to Malay style pies! I am ser
ious! They have Chicken Kurma Pie, Tandoori Chicken Pie and Thai Chicken Green Curry Pies. All carrying the Gold Medal 2001 titles! Heck, they even sell Beef Rendang Pie! Wow! A Malay word that is so internationally known! Guaranteed freshness as their pies are made daily.

A great selection of pies... Yummy... yummy...

Since we were just her
e for a light breakfast, we only chose two pies to share. We chose one of the 'Asian' style pies, the Ayam Chicken Kurma Pie with mashed potatoes. The chicken kurma is surrounded by crispy crust of the pie. The aroma of the chicken kurma smelt exactly like the one back home! It even tasted like the one back home! The crust of the pie was not too thick and not over burnt! Just nice and crispy! It tasted so good but I just wish the mashed potatoes were a little more creamy. And more gravy please!

Look closer to the picture!!! They have indicator for every different pies! What a cute way to sort out the pies! Club for Chicken Kurma Pie! =D

This pie cost $13.50 plus $4.50 for the extra mashed potatoes.

The other gourmet pie we took was the Pie Floater. It is their Gold Medal Winner dish. You can pick any of your favourite pie (we chose the Steak and Mushroom Pie) in a thick and tasty 'Ham and Pea' soup top with a scoop of fresh and creamy mashed potatoes. The Steak and Mushroom Pie was extremely delicious! Two thumbs up for this! The fillings are made of minced beef in an i-don't-know what-is-it-called but-tasted so-damn-good gravy with chunks of mushrooms! And seasoned with pepper too! I am not a fan for western style soup besides mushroom soup but this Ham and Pea soup did not disappoint me. However, I feel this pie floater will go better with a plain pie like a beef pie. This is because the soup kinda covered up the steak pie taste. This pie floater cost $13.50 too!

Heading to the drinks menu, we ordered Iced Chocolate, Iced Coffee, Vanilla Milkshake and Hot Chocolate. Besides the Iced Coffee, every other drinks tasted normal... nothing exceptionally special. There wasn't any sugar in the Iced Coffee. So it was a bit bitter. I would say it tasted filled with coffee aroma. Both the Iced Chocolate and Coffee had a scoop of vanilla ice-cream in it. The hot chocolate was great because I enjoyed the milk froth! =P

The overall rating for this restaurant is...

With such big grins on our faces, I guess I don't need to say further...
